The Vision

Create a performance that celebrates Black and Brown queer lives for TikTok’s #BlackMusicMonth, bridging Juneteenth and Pride through collective healing and ritual.

My Approach

Rooted the piece in sound healing and movement therapy, combining recorded breathwork, symbolic gestures, and ritual elements—fruit, palo santo, oils, jewelry, and clothing from POC female-owned brands.

In Motion

Shot in natural light, blending dance, poetry, and ambient sound to convey care, community, and visibility. Positioned each element as both artistic expression and a call for cultural presence.

The Resonance

The piece resonated deeply on TikTok and Instagram, reaching over 20,000 views and driving a 60% increase in traffic for featured POC-owned brands—demonstrating that creative work rooted in truth and healing can move culture and generate measurable community impact.
